Fête nationale, feux d’artifice – national holiday – fireworks

Monday, 14 Juillet est une belle journée! Nous sommes sortis de la Grand-Bé et Petite Bè. Nous avons apprécié un verre au bar de Soleil et n’ont été que légèrement rose du soleil. Dans la soirée, nous avons vu la marée haute à 107 coefficient, mais sans le vent. Pas trop impressionnant. Les rues de Saint-Malo ont été bloqués! Les feux d’artifice ont commencé à 11 heures quand il a finalement été sombre, mais en attendant pour eux de commencer était claustrophobe. Ils ont duré environ 25 minutes et ont été chorégraphiés à jouer de la musique à partir de deux haut-parleurs énormes suspendus de nacelles. Très impressionnant et très fort!

Monday, July 14 is a beautiful day!  We walked out to both Grand Bè and Petite Bè.  We enjoyed a drink at the Bar de Soleil and were only slightly pink from the sun.  In the evening we saw the high tide at 107 coefficient, but without the wind.  Not too impressive.  The streets of Saint-Malo were jammed!  The fireworks began at 11 pm when it was finally dark but waiting for them to begin was claustrophobic.  They lasted around 25 minutes and were choreographed to music playing from two huge speakers hanging from cherry pickers. Very impressive and extremely loud!
