This week we have been preparing for our trip to France.

Today, Saturday June 8 we rented a car from AVIS here in Holland. We drove it and our own car to our son Michael’s house in Grand Rapids. We said our goodbyes to Michael and his cat Kima. We left our car at Michael’s and drove the rental back to Holland.

I did some work in WordPress which hosts our blog. I changed the site’s icon from the Saint-Malo flag to the Saint-Malo coat of arms .

On Sunday June 9 we will be driving from our home in Holland, Michigan to the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) airport. At 16:00 EDST (Eastern Daylight Savings Time) we will fly Delta Air Lines to the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (French: Aéroport de Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle), CDG. We arrive at 06:00 CEST (Central European Summer Time) on Monday June 10. So, our Sunday basically ends when we take off from DTW and our Monday begins when we land at CDG at 06:00.

Check the flight on Saturday June 8 and it was ready to go.

This will be our post for this week ending on Sunday June 9. We will pick things up next week starting with our 3 days in Paris. The flight will be leaving in 2 and one-half hour. Bye for now
