Sunday June 5 and the sun is shining!
Today was the first day in 2 weeks that Sandy shopped for breakfast. Her foot is much better but she is still taking it slowly when walking. After a gana baguette, pain au chocolat, and a pain au raison for breakfast from Maison du Pain we were ready for some activity.
Sandy washed a load of clothes this morning and was able to use the balcony dryer rack for the first time this year since the sun was shining.
We put on our rain boots and headed off for the beach/plage de Bon Secours. The tide was going out, not yet low tide, so there was plenty of beach and tide pools for us to walk in. We walked around for almost an hour enjoying the view and the calm.
At the beach, we enjoyed a coffee and Orangina at the Bar de l’Embraque formerly known as the Bar de Soleil. We noticed a new menu for sea food and sandwiches posted today. They were not posted last Thursday when we watched the pool fill with sea water. It’s a lovely place to sit and watch the beach, the people, and the ocean even if they are at least 30% higher priced than other restaurants Intra-Muros. Their view cannot be beaten.
